The Mind Machine – Preparation For The World

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “The New School.”

I was a result of “good schooling”. Perhaps these were the final years of a “liberal education”, the response to a need for the question, the REAL QUESTION – “What am I as a person; where do I want to make my niche and how do I give something back – to the world and to others.

Some years back, David Cameron, in a speech, said, “We are preparing the minds of young people, through our new educational system, for the job market.”

The CATTLE MARKET, more like it!

In these days of means testing, tick boxes and other dreadful ways of putting young people through the educational sausage machine, do we expect to produce anything other than social automata, where the brightest join the corporate ladder and the dimmest are tossed aside, ready for the dole queue.

When are we going to invoke those noble qualities of self-esteem, compassion, empathy and conscience to produce business leaders (and subordinates) who have a sense of purpose and relevance to the community?

Engage Brain – Bring on the Universe

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Phobia, Shmobia.”

o t 5 This beautiful symbol represents Occupational Therapy, the ‘art-form’ of developing one’s own therapy, through occupying ALL ONE’S FACULTIES.  Now – Psychiatry/Psychology (difference of £50k per year!) – the art of seeing if someone is more screwed up when you have finished EUGENICALLY FUCKING WITH THEIR BRAINS – the meds seem to take care of messing up the rest of the body…..and so we could go on complaining, while the shrinks can defend themselves, even in a law-court (the Flush Flund takes care of all the expense!)

No – the symbol above is the double serpent KUNDALINI – THE SEX-SELF FORCE THAT HAS TO BE TAPPED FOR ALL CREATIVITY.  WINGS – YOU EARN THEM THROUGH LIFE.

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” – Rainer Maria Rilke

All yours…..Nigel
